Is stone material radiation very big?

According to the national standard of building materials of 6566-2010, we now require that the internal radiation index of class A is 1 and the external radiation index is 1.3.

    We tested a type of domestic marble this time, and the test result was 0.02 internal irradiation and 0.11 external irradiation index, meeting the standard requirements. According to the same test method, our test results for imported marble are internal irradiation index 0.07 and external irradiation index 0.04.

    Inspector: judging from the results of today's inspection, there is no big difference between domestic marble and imported marble. We did a test to a few basic building materials, marble inside and outside illuminate index order magnitude is in 0.01 to 0.02 between, granite is in commonly 0.3 to 0.6 between, be in standard range commonly, the lumber that we do is in 0.4, 0.5 left and right sides, glass is almost in 0.4, 0.3 this range.

    It is said that natural marble is highly radioactive and even carcinogenic. However, the marble samples we sent for examination showed even lower radioactivity than wood and glass.

    As early as 2010 and 2013, the national stone quality supervision and inspection center, the national stone standardization technical committee and the China stone industry association issued the notice on the non-radioactive hazard of natural marble products twice, so the natural stone can be used safely.
